Grant’s Annis

She worked her way into Tom’s heart in about 30 seconds. She loves everybody but often can be found under his desk in the man cave. She is funny. She hated riding in the car, until one day, when jazz was emanating from the speakers, she became totally calm. I thought that all the short rides were paying off, till my daughter switched it to rock n roll. Thin puppy wails erupted from the back seat. As a joke I said, “She must like Jazz,” and put it back. Silence. Jazz it is!

She prefers to roam the house at night, sleeping in various thresholds and couches. Clearing vermin is her personal enterprise. She loves to lie down to eat. If she decides you didn’t feed her enough, she will bring you her bowl and drop it unceremoniously at your feet. She hasn’t been officially trained, yet her instincts are good. When the ducks and chickens are not co-operating she can be counted on to help round ‘em up into their coops.  She is very trustworthy around children and poultry. Her habit of blowing bubbles in the water bowl, and making sure you don’t stop petting her when she needs to be petted keeps us all laughing.

She has a teflon coat from the tip of her nose to her tail. Like Tippin, she also sheds her undercoat about two times a year. Her coat is fairly easy to manage, although elf-locks have been known to form behind her ears. She has been trained to intermediate obedience level. She is clear of MDR1 and is a carrier for CEA.
